What does it mean to do God’s will?

John 6:38. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.
At Christmastime, Jesus came down from Heaven to Earth to do the will of God the Father. That’s wisdom! God’s wisdom is never about doing whatever we want. God’s wisdom is always about doing what God wants.
When Jesus became a baby born in a manger, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus grew up and obeyed his parents, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus healed the sick and helped the poor, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus prayed and trusted God, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus taught people about the Kingdom of God, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus let himself be arrested, tried, beaten and crucified on the cross, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus arose and went back up to Heaven to sit on his throne, he was doing what God wanted.
When Jesus lives in our hearts, he is doing what God wants.
When Jesus returns for us to take us to live with him forever, he will be doing what God wants.
Are you wise? Do you do what God wants or do you do what you want? If Jesus lives in your heart you should let him do what God wants through you?
Because of Jesus everything God wants has been done by him.
With Jesus we can do what God wants.
