THINK TOGETHER
What do you think Heaven will look like?

Yesterday we said that the book of Revelation is all about worshiping Jesus. And here in the middle of the book we get a picture of what the worship of Jesus looks like in Heaven.
Revelation 5:9-14.
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
John is giving us a glimpse of the throne room of God. Now, not too many people have had a vision of Heaven. John saw Jesus, the Lamb, on the throne. He saw a scroll that needed to be opened, but no one deserved to open them. The scroll reveals who is able to judge the earth. Who do you think it is?
It’s not me. And it’s not you.
It’s the Lamb. He is worthy. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.”
Jesus the Lamb that was surrounded by the shepherds on his birthday, grew up and became the Lamb that died as the sacrifice for our sins. He was the only perfect human to ever live. And that is why he is worthy of all blessing, and honor, and glory, and might forever. And that is why he is worthy to judge the Earth.
Jesus is worthy, not because he overpowered us all, but because he was overpowered for us all on the cross. He is worthy because he is perfect love and perfect purity.
And one day we will go to Heaven to worship him. And trust me, it will be amazing.
So why not start worshiping him right now?
Because of Jesus we are always in fair and loving hands.
With Jesus we don’t have to be afraid of his judgment because we are his own.
